    Sorry for this newbie question:

Does CCenhancer access to “normal” CCleaner program or is it completely independent?

In other words: Do I have to copy CCenhancer.exe to installation folder of CCleaner?

    Thank you

    Peter

    Hi Peter,

You need to have CCleaner installed to use CCEnhancer.

CCEnhancer will generally be able to find CCleaner, but if it can’t, you’ll receive an error message. Placing CCEnhancer into CCleaner’s folder will indeed resolve this issue if you run into it—good intuition!

    Regards,

    Shane

What about offering an option/entry field in CCenhancer to (manually) specify the (installation) directory of CCleaner?

You can add CCleaner install locations manually in Settings. It’s in the “portable locations” tab.
