Hi, I was hoping someone might have a solution to a Java install problem I’ve been having for some time on several computers.

When updating or installing the latest version of Java it gets to the end of the install (full status bar) and doesn’t go any further.  Eventually the Windows will flash a warning that the disc is full.  It turns out that the file JavaDeployReg.log grows to the size of the remaining space on the hard drive.

I have tried all kinds of solutions, my latest uninstalling with JavaRA, booting clean and using manual install, even using a new profile. . . I’m about at my wits end.  Has anyone seen this before?  I’m running: Windows 7 Pro fully updated, Asus MB using AMD.  It ran earlier versions of java.

I haven’t seen or heard of anything like this before. It might be worth trying to get in touch with Oracle.
