Can System Ninja securely shred junk files?

No, we made the decision not to include this functionality as most users do not understand its purpose.

Other programs already contain this functionality, so replicating it is a waste of time. Furthermore, the majority of new PC’s are shipped with Solid State Drives, which operate differently to mechanical drives. Overwriting processes on these drives simply shortens the lifespan and offers no benefit to privacy or security.

Would it be possible add a choice to “remove to recycle bin”?

Yes. But this isn’t as simple as you would think.

The recycle bin is also located on the hard drive. If System Ninja detects .tmp files in one of these directories, it would then attempt to move it to the recycle bin. As the file is already in the recycle bin, this would probably cause the recycle bin to corrupt.

Wise Disk Cleaner had that option in previous versions. Somehow, they were able to deal with that issue.
