KeymasterThat’s a really good idea. One that I’ll almost certainly implement. Thanks.

KeymasterHi! Thank you very much. I’ll make sure this gets added to the next update.

KeymasterThank you.

KeymasterNot currently. The best solution is to revoke access rights to Windows.old using Windows permission manager. That will cause System Ninja to skip right over it.

KeymasterYup, plugins are updated separately from the main program. FileAnalyzr isn’t currently a priority.

KeymasterCould it be that there simply isn’t a lot of junk on the new PC? A fresh install of Windows would mean the filesystem is quite clean.
Another possibility is the presence of a Windows.old directory in C:/. Windows seems to place it in the slowest part of the disk, so it takes an unusually long time to scan.

KeymasterIf you watch it run, approximately how many files is it scanning every second?

KeymasterUse the Plugin downloaded through System Ninja’s ‘Get Plugins’ interface. It should be fixed there.

KeymasterI’ve made some progress with the delay feature. I’ve added a dialog that’s accessible from the Taskbar context menu, which allows the delay to be set while ProcessAlive is monitoring processes.
The only thing left to do is make the delay setting persistent by saving it in process_list.ini. That way it won’t need to be manually set each time you start the program.
I’ve also addressed some of the memory usage flaws in the design. That should reduce the number of CPU cycles needed on each check.

KeymasterMetroTextual will be updated late January. The release will be primarily bug fixes, with a colour chooser for font/background as the only significant feature.
JavaRa, System Ninja and CCEnhancer will all receive updates before MetroTextual. Brining Windows 8 compatibility to our existing apps is the current priority.
