    Hi Igor;

    We’re aware of this issue and will get it fixed before the final release. As long as the strings are correct in .locale file; there won’t be a problem.

    Could V2 incorporate a 32/64 bit command line switch?
    I have 32 and 64 bit Javas installed on my 64bit platform, I would only what to clean 32bit Java entries prior to upgrading 32bit Java on a 64bit platform, then maybe clean 64bit Java entries before updating 64bit Java. It looks like V2 will only clean the Java entries for the ‘native’ number of bits of the OS it run on, not so good if you run 32bit and 64bit Java.

    Cheers

    Is the JRE version you told JavaRa to remove installed on the system?

    I’ll have a look into this and see if I can solve it.

    Hi Shane there are 2 entries

    No Helper Java(tm) Plug-In 2 SSV Helper C:Program Files (x86)OracleJavaFX 2.0 Runtimebinjp2ssv.dll ( this is for the javafx 2.0 that is new to java 7 update 3

    Yes HKLM:Run SunJavaUpdateSched “C:Program Files (x86)Common FilesJavaJava Updatejusched.exe”

    I run Java 1.16 and JavaRa 2.0 and they don’t get rid of these entries I have to actually go into CCleaner and do them myself in the startup option

    Yeah, that would be acceptable Shane. I’ll give that a try! Thanks again for your time. I appreciate it! As a global forum moderator myself for an established anti-virus company I know that no matter how good a piece of software is you just can’t please everyone but you’ve done a great job of addressing my concerns and keep up the good work! Warmest regards, Ritchie…

    Hi Sean,

    I’ll have a look into this. What’s the name of the Oracle/JRE startup item on your system?

    As it tends to change across different versions of JRE, there is a chance that JRE misses a few.

    You could just place CCEnhancer and its files into your Program File directory, then create a shortcut on your desktop. That would mean only one file would clutter up your screen.

    Hi Shane, thanks for the quick reply. The program not automatically closing I could live with but having the two extra files on my Desktop is a bit annoying, I have to admit, as I like to keep my Desktop as uncluttered as possible. So for now I’ll stick with the older 2.5.1 version as you recommend. Thanks again for your input Shane. Best wishes, Ritchie… P. S. – It is a good piece of software and I do recommend it to others (that will be the 2.5.1 version from now on anyways).

    This is all the expected behaviour. cc_config.ini stores the program settings and language preferences. winapp2.ini is the file that CCEnhancer downloads to apply rules to CCleaner.

    The program no longer closes because many users found that behaviour annoying.

    You can continue to use the old versions. As long as you’re using CCEnhancer 1.5.1 or newer; you do not need to update unless you want new features or languages.
